Let’s get started!

Setting up for Success

Age of Learning exists to help children everywhere. The company’s digital education programs help build a strong foundation for academic success and a lifelong love of learning. Parents and educators who’ve seen ABCmouse, Adventure Academy, or any of its other products in action will quickly agree that they look much different than the lesson plans from their youth. The look, feel, and comprehensive educational content of Age of Learning programs are the result of years of planning and testing. Between 2007 and 2010, the company’s founding tech entrepreneurs and education experts committed themselves to deep research before launching the flagship program ABCmouse. The nearly four years of development would assess how kids engage with technology and how to spark that same level of interest, insight, and creativity within an educational platform.

Age of Learning takes its leading role in the education sector seriously. As such, the company frequently sponsors research conducted by independent firms to weigh program effectiveness and measure the gains being made by young learners. Recent awards Age of Learning has earned also speak to the high quality of its innovative digital learning products. These accolades include the 2020 National Parenting Product Awards, 2019 Parent and Teacher Choice Award, the 2019 Academics’ Choice Award for Smart Media, along with many others.

The Age of Learning Portfolio

Age of Learning has carefully crafted a product portfolio that will impress parents and help improve educational outcomes for children. Children between the ages of 2 and 13 are all perfect candidates for Age of Learning programs. ABCmouse, for example, will resonate with young learners between the ages of 2 and 8, while Adventure Academy has been designed to meet the needs of elementary and middle school students who have graduated from the original program. . ABCmouse is the #1 kids’ education brand in the U.S. and delivers a comprehensive educational approach that offers both structured learning through a personalized learning path and opportunities to freely explore 10,000+ Learning Activities.  Adventure Academy was a groundbreaking achievement when it first launched, offering the first educational multi-player online game for those between the ages of 8 and 13. The appeal of video games need not be explained here, but combining it with gameplay elements that children love has delivered engaging lessons that cover English Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies. Finally, ABCmouse English provides English language learners between the ages of 3 and 8 more than 4,000 activities to dive into. According to recent research into this program, treatment group children who were considered beginner learners improved their English language skills nearly threefold. All this took was 30 hours of program use over six months. What’s more, parents reported improvements to English skills as well as confidence, interest and motivation.

Ready for the Future

Few could have predicted the profound effects of 2020. Age of Learning was uniquely positioned to continue providing its educational services and the company did not disappoint. On March 10, the day before the World Health Organization (WHO) declared COVID-19 a pandemic and two days before the first statewide school closure, Age of Learning leadership mobilized teams throughout the company to launch its School Continuity Initiative to give families affected by school closures free access to all of its core educational products — ABCmouse, Adventure Academy, and ReadingIQ. Schools and school districts were encouraged to contact Age of Learning directly to see how they could receive program access for all their affected preschool through middle school students.

Independent research has truly validated what Age of Learning has to offer. According to one recent study that assessed usage of ABCmouse between March and September 2020, “ABCmouse users did not experience summer learning loss.” What’s more, “regular ABCmouse usage over the summer can help children with low skills catch up to peers with high skills, closing the gap by up to 87 percent.” It’s an encouraging observation, but what should impress parents most is this straightforward concept: children learn more the more they use these programs. With stay-at-home orders still in effect across much of the U.S., parents can count on ABCmouse and Adventure Academy to help keep their children engaged in learning as they wait to return to the classroom—and to supplement and reinforce classroom learning once schools resume full-time.
